The Falklands... Again

The opening paragraph to Daniel K. Gibran's The Falklands War: Britain Versus the Past in the South Atlantic:

"The Falklands War raises a number of compelling issues in both the theory and the practice of international relations. Some of these issues involve territorial conflicts, democracy versus totalitarian dictatorship, miscalculations and misperception, the role of cultural differences and historico-legal perspectives, and the hypothesis that statesmen will launch a war in order to distract the public from domestic problems."

YES. PLEASE.
